Shopify updated collections to support variant-level targeting, allowing specific product variants, like a single color, material, or size run, to be included instead of whole products.
Boost's collection sync was built around whole products, so without an update, these new collections would show up blank or point shoppers to the wrong product version. But you don’t need to worry, as we closed that gap so your storefront keeps working the way you expect, no matter how Shopify changes underneath it.
Four things, all live now:
You can now build more precise collections in Shopify by color, material, size, or any variant attribute, and trust that Boost will display and filter them correctly on your storefront. If you already publish variant-level collections in Shopify, or you've been waiting on this before you do, they'll work as soon as they're live in your store.
If you have questions or need help with anything, open a live chat in your Boost dashboard, and we’ll resolve it right away.
Nested collections, where one collection inherits its products from another, are part of the same Shopify update and are still being explored on our side, along with how they interact with Multi-Collections Filter. We'll share an update once we've scoped that work.
