Selling globally is messy in the real world. Your US customers might happily buy 5+ units, while another market requires a lower threshold due to shipping costs, price sensitivity, or local competition.

Until now, Boost’s Predictive Bundles were basically “the same rule for everyone.” However, this update, Predictive Bundles by Market, lets you shape volume pricing the same way you already shape storefronts in Shopify Markets: market by market.

What you can do with Predictive Bundles by Market

When creating or editing a Predictive Bundle, you can choose where it applies:

  • Store default: applies across your entire store and all markets (your baseline rule).
  • Specific country: show a different volume discount for shoppers in a selected country market.
  • Specific company location: show a different volume discount for a selected company location (B2B), designed for Shopify Plus stores.

Simple example:

  • Store default: “Buy 3+, save 10%”
  • US market: “Buy 5+, save 15%”. Now, US shoppers see the US deal, and everyone else still gets your default.

How Predictive Bundles by Market works on the storefront 

  • More specific beats less specific. The store default is always your fallback, but a country- or company-location rule takes priority when it matches the shopper’s market.
  • If multiple rules of the same type apply, the most recent wins. Within the same bundle/discount type, the most recently created or updated rule is displayed.
  • Different bundle types can show together. For example, a product can display both a Volume Discount and a Classic Bundle simultaneously because they’re treated as distinct types.
  • Out-of-stock bundles won’t show. If any product in a bundle is out of stock, the bundle won’t appear to shoppers.

Best practices to get value fast

  • Start with a strong “Store default” first. Think of this as your safety net. Then add market-specific rules only where it actually matters (top countries, key B2B accounts).
  • Use market-specific rules for a clear reason. Examples include higher shipping costs, different wholesale expectations, different AOV targets, regional promotions, or clearing inventory in one region without discounting everywhere.
  • Keep it clean: one market selection per rule. Country and company location rules are designed to be chosen one at a time, so create separate rules when you need separate offers.
  • Name your campaigns like a human. Try: Volume Discount | US | 5+ units or Volume Discount | B2B | Berlin location | 10+ units. Your future self will thank you.
  • Test it as a shopper would. Switch markets and confirm the right deal appears (and that your fallback shows when it should).
  • If you change the Shopify Markets setup, run a sync. After updating Markets or company locations, use Sync recent updates to ensure your preview and settings reflect the latest market data.

Other notes

  • Specific company location targeting is intended for Shopify Plus stores.
  • Merchants on the old pricing based on product catalogs (pre-Sept 2025) cannot use "Specific country" or "Specific company location" targeting. These require upgrading to the Essential plan or higher.
  • Predictive Bundles by Market is available to all merchants on the new GMV-based pricing, irrespective of their current pricing tier.
