Getting started with Filtering by Metaobjects in minutes

Here’s a quick guide to setting up your first Filter by Metaobjects:

1. Sync your metaobject: First, head to Tools > Metafields and Metaobjects in the app admin. Add the metaobject you want to use and make sure you select the Filter option in the "Applies to" section.
2. Create your filter: Next, go to Filter > Manage filter trees and select the filter tree you want to edit. Click Add filter option.
3. Select your data: In the Option Type dropdown, you’ll see your metaobject clearly listed. Just select it.
4. Customize and save: Give your filter a customer-facing label (like "Artist" or "Fabric"), tweak any other settings to your liking, and hit Save. It’s that simple!

Update in Metafield and Metaobject management

Besides releasing Filtering by Metaobject, we also simplified the process for merchants to add product metafields to the Boost app.

The section is now called "Metafields and Metaobjects," reflecting the broader functionality.

Instead of manually entering “Namespace” and “Key”, which was error-prone, merchants now select from a dropdown list of available metafields and metaobjects.

These changes improve usability and efficiency based on direct customer feedback.
